During the hellscape that was 2020, running an independent agency trying to survive a global pandemic, I found myself ‘back on the tools’ again more than previous years.

Spending more time writing again, I shared on LinkedIn my lifelong frustration of not being able to listen to music with lyrics while writing.

What I was not expecting is just how many people connected with this insight.

The post went viral across the globe, with creatives from all walks of life, from all corners of the planet, sharing the exact same frustration.

Then, alongside fellow Melbourne creative, Ellie Dunn, we created an open collaborative Spotify playlist for writers and creatives around the world to add ‘word-free noise’ for everyone to write to.

It currently stands at 13 hours and 43 minutes in total.
